Apparently you don't listen to the PAs either.

FWAAA, you seem to be on a quite a roll (a-board) [pun intended]. Why not re-read my post. In spite of my extended and possibly irrelevant commentary, I simply asked Jim, what is a "wheels first" PA.

Of course I have heard it; but I just never thought of it as "wheels first" PA. And I am quite aware that some overhead bins accommodate 22" luggage lengthwise. I always use the wheels first orientation when available; and I have even moved other bags to make room for mine. But because most of my domestic flights are on MDs, as Jim points out, it is not always applicable on both sides of the aisle.

Where I have heard it the PA about “wheels firstâ€￾, I always considered it as a part of the "full flight", "shared space", "one overhead-one underseat" announcement.

FWAAA, either you (or someone using the same handle) actively participates on another BB relating to air travel. If it is you, you know full well that FF not only listen to - but many of us could (and do) - repeat verbatim the entire PA sequence.

When are we FF permitted to tune out? After "welcome to our AAdvan..... OneWorld…", "Award winning magazine, "feel free to take ....."?

But, now that I know the FA lingo of a “wheels firstâ€￾ PA, I (for one) will listen; and thus you Jim and FWAAA should not say that “no one listensâ€￾.

I'm not a Smiley user; but I think one or more is called for in this post - just not sure which.
