Here''s an update on Acft departing from PIT and CLT ...and MHV bound. 534 departs PIT at 0800 on 9 Sept. 411 departs at 0800 on 9 Sept. 412 and 506 on 10 Sept. 408 departs at 0800 on 11 Sept. 615 and 616 are scheduled to depart CLT at 0800 on 9 Sept. All times are tentative...based on staffing and any possible maintenance issues prior. I thought you might want to see the list of aircraft...and thier departure city? This is really sad!!

I must be reading this wrong. They are sending 615 and 616 to the desert, but keeping Christine around! They better give 615 and 616 good parking spaces where they can get out of storage easily, because I can assure you that by keeping Christine around they are going to need them back on the line by the end of the month!

I thought 602 was Christine..... oh well, isn't Christine the second 757 off the line?

Second question....I see we may pick-up DCA/LAS service....and it says US will use 757's....if it is 2 RT's a day....does it require 1 a/c to serve
that route per day...or 2, or 3....to service a given route when scheduling a/c?

B757-200 Fleet was 34...now it's 32. What it will drop to ?...is anyones guess? Too many issues play a factor now. BTW...Acft N600AU was NOT the first B757 off the assembly line. That distinction goes to G-BIKA of British Airways. (Mfg S/N) 22172...This was first flown on 25 October 1982. BA actually had the first 20 build positions. N502EA/ N600AU was the second B757 recieved by Eastern.....The first was N501EA...This was later picked up as N557NA by NASA in December of 1994. [---This was the first US registered B757 , beyond that of the project test bed numbers So on all accounts...the information about 600 being the first...or the oldest , are completely wrong. The aircraft was the first of type recieved by USAirways.
