Terry Trippler Explains Consumer Benefits of US Airways Proposal in Televised Interview

After more than 30 years in the commercial and private travel industry, Terry Trippler has emerged as a leading authority on the airline business. In an interview yesterday with KSAZ Fox-10 in Phoenix, Ariz., he said US Airways’ plan to merge with Delta will reward consumers by creating a level of stability the industry hasn’t seen in years.

“The person buying a ticket seven, eight, nine months out needs to know that that airline is going to be there to handle their trip coming up, and that’s something we haven’t had for a while. US Airways taking over Delta will bring that stability to millions of travelers.â€￾

Ergo, he's a talking head. He's got about as much "expert" insight as you might catch in the breakroom at INT--and maybe less.

I'd love to know the "stability" for travellers this will bring with the operation of a carrier trying to integrate US/HP/DL will be a complete disaster. Stability for consumers my ass.

Who knows, Trippler may know something the rest of us do not...then again maybe he does not.

And funny thing is if you click on the terrytrippler.com link it actually takes you to www.myvacationpassport.com.

And notice that the FAUX news station can't even get the story headline correct....Consumer benefits of a UA/Delta merger.
