AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today reported record traffic for the month of February 2006. Revenue passenger miles, load factor, enplaned passengers, and available seat miles represent records for the month.
AirTran Airways' traffic, measured by revenue passenger miles (RPMs), grew by 25.9 percent, to more than 930 million RPMs, on an increase of 22.6 percent in capacity, based on available seat miles (ASMs). The airline enplaned 1,363,145 passengers in the month of February, which is a 27.0 percent increase over February 2005 and a record for the month.
