Huh?  I don't how you got that out of her interview.   What I heard is that if the economics of the countries improve there will be a little less of a draw to the terrorist organizations.  Even if she or someone else did say that, I suspect it would be significantly less expensive to do that than to wage war.  We wasted $1,000,000,000,000.00 in the two wars.  How did that work out for us?  How much more do you want to waste to achieve your desired out come?

It is working great. They have an army of dependents that vote for them no matter what every election cycle.

They are going to buy those votes no matter how much it cost YOU.  There is always another "entitlement" to add.

All the world's problems can be solved by throwing other people's money at them......... right?

How do you defend the $1,000,000,000,000 thrown at Iraq and Afghanistan?  Was it well spent?

First of all that has nothing to do with anything. The issue was the cost of the war and whether it was spent wisely. Second, a war is not like a light switch. You cannot just come into office after 8 years of war and turn it off like nothing happened. That would more more irresponsible than getting us in to the war in the first place. Thirdly, what is one to say to the vets who died and were injured? Sorry, we are not paying for the war any more, you will not be getting any more benefits related to the war?

Aside from all that you are still wrong. Reality and you just don't get along very well. This 2011 study claims that as of 2011 (Obama had only been in office 2 plus years) the two wars had already cost $1.6 trillion. They claim that total could rise to close to $6 trillion over the next 40 years due to obligations.

We have been paying for the war long before Obama took office, and we will be paying for it long long after he has left.

Do you have ADD? Concentrate.

What does any of that have to do with the thread?

Tumbleweeds have more direction than you, Tree. Try to stay on topic. Would you?

You are the one who ignored what she said. You are the one who brought up TWC checks which I never received. You are the one who ignored what she and others have said regarding the relevance of economics in the ME. This thread went off the rails quite some time ago. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

We have been paying for the war long before Obama took office, and we will be paying for it long long after he has left.

We've been paying for wars since Jefferson sent the USMC to the Barbary Coast to protect American Shipping in 1801.

Obama, The War Monger in Chief has had us involved in 7 conflicts in the Middle East.

Aren't his 7 conflicts, 4 for Bush II, at least 1 for Daddy Bush, plus Vietnam. The collateral damage caused by the CIA led overthrow of Iran in 1953, Bay of Pigs, Somoza of Nicaragua, Pinochet in Chile enough to convince us as a people that the policy of intervention meets or exceeds Einstein's definition of Insanity.

The repeating the same actions over and over and expecting a different outcome is insanity defined?? How could one come to a different conclusion?

So he posted it. Who cares. Fact...

Still Wrong.

The great Mys Tery twist. When you lose a battle throw an off topic to prove some stupid point that has nothing to do with your discussion. Brilliant!...if your audience is dumber than yourself it might work!

The issue is about some silver spoon-fed Muslim educated by the Western society that decided to kill those he lived among in prosperity. The fact is Obama has run up the tab on the war by pulling out early. This war will soon double what the Bushs's overall Gulf War cost.

So keep on twistin all you want. Besides when times get tough you'll cut and run with your RED passport. Too bad that even Johnny Depp learned a lesson about being careful what you wish for when he ran in France!

Ask Obama. A good portion of that was on his watch.
