Upon reading the letter regarding the acceptance of the Memorial day holiday, it looks like they are saying they agree to accept a full implementation of all TA'd agreements.
Did the ASS just agree to fully implement all agreed to articles of negotiations? Immediately? Without any membership vote?

No that’s not the case. The “Letter” to the Company is calling on them to prove if they care so much about the disparity between the workgroups the Company would agree to implement all outstanding Holidays and other disparities for items that have already been agreed to by the parties.

The likelihood of the Company agreeing to implement those TA’s my guess would be very slim but the Company so far has taken a very unorthodox approach so who knows?

If they did agree to implement all TA’d articles obviously the letter doesn’t imply how that would be accomplished if it would be immediately or a vote would be taken for those items?

It is obviously (here come the rocks) that from the acceptance of the one Memorial Day Holiday coming up that the Association does have the authority to accept those TA’d articles without a Membership vote if they feel it’s for our benefit.

In the meantime the only thing that’s been agreed to is the pay for the ONE Holliday just this year to make sure we all come to work as scheduled.

That letter of agreement is not the letter I am referring to. Could you post the Ms. Vaughn letter? As I was just told by ATD, my comprehension skills regarding that letter are poor. How that means I am part of the ASS leadership is beyond me?

Sure. But understand that the letter to Lynn Vaughn is not an official document towards any type of implementation of what the Association asked for.

Like I said at this moment it’s nothing more than basically an ask that if the Company is really so concerned about the disparities between the two groups (Of course they’re not) then they would implement all the items that could provide us some symmetry and improvements.

But here’s the letter.

Thank you. This is why you won't go on ignore. Even though there is a lot of pointless drivel, in between said drivel is some pertinent information. I wish the same could be said of Mr. Nelson et al. Again thanks, I hopefully jumped to conclusions (holy shite that's contagious on here).

Ever notice that as many people here want to kick me in the nads for my particular points of view, when they want to know something informational I’ll always still give them an answer.

Truthfully most people usually tell those types to go F off. And I also think that’s why Forums has very few posters left. Those who give legitimate opposing views are bullied off the boards.

I will agree. I have differed from your point of view. For example the screw the IAM guys. I again don't want to screw anyone....or get screwed in the process.

I just wrote this to a guy on Facebook regarding someone else getting something I’m not.

“Barry so far gauging the pulse of what the Company has presented to us systemwide it’s being dramatically rejected and the Company is not getting the reaction I’m sure they expected by releasing their proposals.

Expectations should be now that eventually certain items will be modified before that final vote is taken.

But I agree ultimately that I don’t care what the other guy gets as long as what I get works well for me. If I really want to be jealous about something I’m not getting I can say why aren’t I also being offered $65,000? So what if I’m only 54 and not retiring yet. I’m going to retire eventually and could absolutely use that money.

So does my advocacy mean I should be offered that $65,000 and when I’m not offered it does that mean I should vote no until I’m old enough to take it in the meantime letting everything else sit and wait another 10 years?”
 
My take on holding out for more has never worked well for the employees. About 10 years ago US voted down an agreement and the one e eventually voted in was not as good.
Yes would love a few tweaks to what has been put out like a 3 percent raise year one and increase the signing bonus to 5000 and remove the 3000 for LUS insurance.
I know scope is big and I would ask that no outsourcing until year 3 which would give all time to either retire or find a place to move
They have already for fleet offered up all current IAM cities to stay to me that’s big.
Waiting though is bad for us good for AA. This can’t go passed next year. A real vote on all items would be best

People need to remember what it looked like 10 years ago though. That was just when the 2007- 2008 Global Economic Collapse was getting in to full swing.

Despite some of the issues happening because of the China Trade disputes we’re not anywhere near any type of economic troubles here in the US.

Keeping Politics out of the Conversation the US Economy is on fire.

Still does that mean we’ll get or the Association has any notions they will get everything? No. Of course not.

I think the Irish can have a mafia too.

Its hard to take modern day unions seriously when you listen to vitriolic rhetoric like that.
