Some on here would like you to think that. But the fact on the IAM side is we are briefed on everything going on. We also will approve or not approve if an agreement comes out or not, so knowing that, it’s either inform us as we go, or inform us when we have 100 questions before we decide to put anything out or not. Sito and Alex doesn’t know the feel of the membership, the negating team does. So we will be the ones to inform them if something is good enough for our members to vote on. That’s speaking for the IAM side anyway.

No it doesn’t say day one. But Imo your statement was misleading, so a i was just clarifying

The answer was: "The Negotiating Committee is in name only. All the meetings are either with the Director and Vice-Director or the Executive Committee."

How is that misleading when the question is related to the proposals being released by airline? Which has happened only since March to now in which the NC has not been party to any face to face meeting with airline.

Don’t put words in my post to fit your argument. Never said they didn’t know what they were doing. We are there to deliver to them what the members feel and what they demand. That’s why when they think they have a t/a that is good enough, it will be brought back to the negotiating team for our opinion and vote based on what we know our members have stated and demanded.

Smh. The Association is arguably the biggest mistake in the history of organized labor. Absolutely ZERO consideration given to the memberships wishes. It is and always will be an illegitimate and largely unwanted "representative".

The alternative would be worse.

A little dishonesty there unless you are saying you would wrap up the contract with the LAA insurance. Please share with all of us how you would wrap the JCBA up swiftly. Easy to say when you can't back it up.

And therein lies the problem...you speak for/from one side of representation that is supposed to be one. Not blaming you CB, but something this fragile and something that's disliked by many, you can NEVER get everyone pulling in one direction imo. And if it comes out for a vote and passes, the TWU will be the bad guys from that point on, and if it goes through section 6, we vote on the same thing we are looking at now (and no LUS Healthcare) the IAM will be the bad boys from that point on. The Association is a "NO WIN" organization.

Not trying to put words in your mouth. Only stating that you come on board to the negotiating team since the executiveteam has been in control. But earlier versions of your team would tell you they had several meetings with the company. Just didn’t know if you realized that. You have one person still there from your original team. He can tell you how many times we met directly with the company.

We are not briefed on the specifics. You poll many TWU members and they will tell you the hold up is LUS HealthCare. I haven't heard anyone mention PT. I haven't heard anyone mention Pension.
In fairness, I have heard deicing was somewhat of an issue. But overwhelmingly, the majority of fleet see your healthcare as the non starter. Again, the Association is not doing a good job of informing the TWU...
