So you should have reached out to the man and assessed whether or not he might assist you at applying pressure. You know he still did come in second here in MIA with 219 votes.

Maybe next week when he leaves office he might be interested?

Did you both invent and agree on your own invention? Bringing the old AGW back out of the shed?
I think me, and prolly Sidney, are pleasantly surprised that Peterson was straightened out by the mediators and so there are no more underwear videos blabbing ridiculous conspiracy theories.
Thus the mediators are doing a good job.

Tim “””IF””” Gary did a video in his underwear where you were looking intently in the reflection of a framed picture on the wall (maybe) trying to see if you could see “more” or what colors the man liked, I think it was only one time and AGAIN your obsession (obsessions) with imagining the man in his underwear is just another VERY disturbing trait you exhibit.

Do you even realize it?

They didn’t need to call on Jesus to get almost 85% of Fleet to pass the agreement.

DL141 Update, April 22, 2016

District Lodge 141 certified that DL141 members covered by United Airlines contracts overwhelmingly ratified their Collective Bargaining Agreements.

The five-year accords run through 2021 and provide industry-best wages, work protections and retirement security, among other improvements.

The IAM has ratified 14 separate contracts for seven separate classifications covering approximately 30,000 workers since the merger of United, Continental and Continental Micronesia in 2010. Through two successful rounds of bargaining, IAM members have achieved wage and pension increases of more than 40 percent and industry-best work protection, among many other improvements.

Results of ratification vote for UAL CBA’s
Passenger Service 87.1%
Fleet Service 84.7%
Stores 79.7%
CLP 97.8%
Maintenance Instructors 96.4%
Fleet Technical Instructors 100%
Security Officers 93.9%
Food Service 68.4%

No, they just put out the letter below threatening them that if they rejected it, the next one would be worse. Remember, the IAM already said that you can't strike and that if there is any rejection, the next one will be worse.

That's why it was very important for us to keep our leverage. Now, if we do get more stations, it will not be due to leverage, but due to the IAM/TWU giving the company more.

At any rate, as soon as the TA is put out, it will be a monstrous yes vote. It's going to be the best that we can get since we otherwise have no leverage. And I'm going to hate being right about 'certain posters' in CLT who worship Mr Baskett, because they hammered their own families with monster health care increases. I tried telling them but they didn't listen.

regards,

The letter is factual. Refreshing to see a Union actually admitting those facts for a change instead of playing phony tough guy acts.

And I highly doubt most members read it anyway. Members unfortunately go right for the $$$$ page and usually not much else.

Parker has already said that he would sign the United contract today. Weez loves it though. Sad.

What Parker has already put on the table far exceeds United on scope and everything else.

Try again Loki. I said it was a dramatic improvement over what they had just prior and because of that I would have joined with the 85% in passing it.

The Scope may be better than United at the outset but it erodes over time as people leave the Company. Parker’s offer taking away work will potentially destroy OT in some cities for years to come too BTW (Not that OT is a priority for me)

And the wage offer falls behind UAL in only 1 year. That’s really something you want?

What did you think was the yearly increase being offered after a 3% year one wage leap Tim? I mean % raise increase years 2 through 5.

They didn’t need to call on Jesus to get almost 85% of Fleet to pass the agreement.

Of course not. The one immediately before it was bad enough that their CEO was the one who called for early openers.

That's nothing to take a victory lap over.

Of course he would!

True, but many labor leaders don't help when they throw around phrases like "we just want to get a little cash in our members' pockets."

Weez, we are going to get a better contract than united so not sure why we have to discuss this?
Nonetheless, i think you should broaden your vision on what a labor contract ought to look like. Hint: think more than just wages.

If you did, then you would realize the United contract is a complete disaster for the union but a gold mine for the labor organization and management.
Unlimited part time has destroyed job security, OT, and any idea of fulltime opportunities.

We are going to have a better Contract than United because our Negotiators are holding firm to make sure that’s a reality.

As far as thinking about more than just wages. I’m not the one desperately and exasperatingly pushing to have a vote now when SCOPE is not completed yet. That would be you screaming at the top of your lungs.

If you did, then you would realize the United contract is a complete disaster for the union but a gold mine for the labor organization and management.

Tim from the language they had prior the agreement they struck was a dramatic improvement. 85% of that Membership accepted that it was also and passed it.

You will never learn to accept the will (decision) of the majority will you.

But we are not United and their story is not ours. Our (TWU) language for Part Time is very strong and I expect it to be strengthened when I read the accepted TA for us all.

And AGAIN that Membership rejected the offer prior that gave them better job security over more money. That Membership wanted the money more than the work. (The will of the Majority)

FYI I don’t think their current agreement is a panacea in all areas but there are “parts” of it that I like.

I expect I will feel the same about our JCBA when it finally reaches us.

True, but many labor leaders don't help when they throw around phrases like "we just want to get a little cash in our members' pockets."

I don’t necessarily think that was an unacceptable comment when we were still desperately clinging in the $19 to $21 an hour drain.

With what we’re earning now no that would not be an acceptable comment to make over any further weakening SCOPE. (Not interested in selling away my work)

No doubt about it... you ARE one of "Jerry's Kids"!!
Growing yellow vest ranks movement to object to unvoted boss pay raises by being objectors... is the union becoming a union finally?

MK reminds me of the grasshopper in charge right before he understood the other bugs have numbers

Mike why did your boy RD get kicked out? Didnt you say he hand picked you for the job?
