Fa asked Parker a question before Greg made his statement. Fa’s question was very weak. After you see it please come back and tell me if you think I’m wrong?

i also watched it..he seemed nervous. won't criticize because i'd probably mumble and stumble.

to me, a hideous quarter. wall street loves that we will cut back capacity and not take delivery of a few planes.

when delta has surpassed us in generating revenue and united beats us in earnings...we are firmly #3 of the big 3.

southwest had their earnings and they made what we made (before special items). southwest put into their profit sharing kitty, FOR THE QUARTER, the exact amount aa has already put aside for us, FOR THE YEAR.

never mind delta...we're only $850 million behind them for the profit sharing year.

That was my point. Fa went first and did very politely (with a smile I might add) ask a weak section 6 question. Obviously I would have preferred a follow up as to why AA refuses to meet outside of section 6 if they are just as eager as the TWU to get things worked out. Again, Cozy would be better in that position than Fa in my opinion.

The twu constitution is set up against us from fighting them we have no say in the international. They do not care about us are represent our best interest. Only there best inerest and dues money. With amp with amfa the constitution is different you can recall officers if there not doing there job. In amfa they communicate with there members there updates are great there’s no rumors because they know what the company’s proposal and there counter proposals are. If there not in arbertration mediation they have observers. You can picket the twu to your blue in the face and they want do what you want. The only thing they care about is dues and if you do not pay them you lose your job that the only thing they know and care about is dues money.

I agree and the result of this is a total lack of caring from most of the members. To quote an old football coach 'You are what your record is". This is what we are. This is modern day unionism, 50-60 years ago union leaders say we need to fight and 100% of the members fight. Now they say fight and I, just like most members want to know what we are fighting for. No information breeds lack of interest.

Today's union's have not modernized and taken a more businesslike approach to getting what we want. The GP angry rant videos do nothing, in my opinion they do more harm than good. We should be hiring marketers and negotiaters, CPAs and pension actuaries, instead we are stuck in the old ways and refuse to come out of the cave.

Some days I blame myself and say I should get more involved, but would I then turn into one of those union guys who care more about the extra money every month than actually doing good for the members, or maybe they are just as frustrated as the rest of us and their interest has also waned.

Didn’t know you had seen it live. We’re on the same page for a change here. I also would add to your question what kind of magic wand does Management think the Mediators have that will make either side move off their positions if the Mediator can’t force a deal?

You did notice how Parker stated the Mediators can’t force a deal to either side. (Had quite a few arguments on that with someone who used to post here)

Unfortunately did you notice Fa even had to read his question from off a paper he had. (Eyes rolling)

Fa does not seem cut out for this. Nice fellow but just does not seem to have the toughness needed. Did not look good asking Parker about section 6. I agree Fa will be replaced.

Not sure why Parker is so thrilled about a Mediator, unless he has his man/woman in place to be able to call a impasse. Arbitration is not an option in my opinion, so all that is left is the Prez Board telling us we can't strike and then Congress imposing something on us. Of course all that if we can't come to terms and that seems a long way off with what's NOT agreed upon and how far off we are. You did hear him say his piece about Healthcare. But he also lied by stating what we want in the contract would "ADD" tens of thousands of heads to payroll.

Never knew Fa before the election, but no, doesn't seem to be a bad guy at all. But he in my opinion is definitely not programmed to be a labor leader.

The videos are posted on Jetnet now.

Don’t know if you watched the entire thing live but OUCH by Mark Grey. That was even more brutal than Cozy.

I did and it left Parker speechless and embarrassed. I loved the gasps from the Parker loyalists in attendance.
