I think thats true up until about ten years ago. But as it turns out, mx is now global, and competing with $2 pedro. Bag smashers dont compete globally like mx, and we dont compete with technology like reservations px service. So those 2 crafts lost 70% of their group. Us bag smashers have expanded.
Time to let the mx sail off cuz your proposal isnt wow, and its limiting progress for fleet.
At least if you worked in a local auto shop, you wouldnt have to deal with pedro.

While its certainly true that intl pressure weighs on us as domestic MX, domestic pressure on fleet service is just as real..... and growing.

Take a quick look at some of those starting wages for offered FULL TIME positions.

These are just two examples of organizations that two of the largest airlines have started.

Ten minute tim is sure that he is essential to the operation. At $20.00 an hour his replacements would be lining up at the gates. But they are not a threat. What he doesnt realize that they have been leveraging maintenance for a long time. If maintenance left or is broken ten minute tim looses a lot of leverage. I would love the opportunity to prove him right.

The company has the unions play book, we are doing nothing different.

Members don't want the truth, they want to be told we'll fight. Those that tell the Members what they want to hear, win elections. Then when they can't be effective they blame everyone else.

We go to the next negotiation.

Same blueprint, same results.
