American Airlines to sue pesky caller
NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- American Airlines has filed a lawsuit in New York against Wilfredo Torres, claiming the man incessantly called the company's chief executive officer.
The suit, filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court, alleges that Torres called repeatedly to complain to American Airlines chief Gerard Arpey -- once placing up to 200 calls in a half-hour period, the New York Post reported.
Despite being forwarded by Arpey's assistants to customer service representatives, Torres continued to barrage the executive's office.
Details of the suit are not known and, ironically, neither is the issue that Torres had called to complain of, said the Post.
