AMR considers 5 airlines for merger

You have your head so far up your ass it's not even funny .. WTF are you talking about ? Parker will and is getting all the financing he needs . I swear some of you. Are so unbelievable with the crap you type up .

The more i read the more i find that these Horton wins guys are "out there". Not merging the Pilot group at US doesn't stop Parker from running the Merger. Wall Street doesn't care about merging employees when US is making more money by not merging them. Sure its a problem but not one that changes the guys at the top.

Did Steve Jobs wear a suit an tie when addressing employees or the media? Was he successful because of his sense of style or by being a leader and visionary (and not necessarily a nice guy either).

The FAs are stuck in their "me too" quagmire. Have the negotiated any contracts prior to the pilots doing the heavy lifting for them?

Did Steve Jobs .....?

Please, I beg of you, tell us all you're not EVEN attempting to make ANY comparison between an initiator and driving force for Apple, indeed, a person who measurably changed society it's self, as being properly comparable to this "situation"?...Other than that the people being discussed are/were carbon based life forms? 😉 It may surprise you to know that Mr. Jobs wasn't in fact, seemingly allergic to suits on proper occasion 😉

Any attempted mutual reference via "leader and visionary" notions is equally ridiculous, no...light years past preposterous!....That's truly gotta' be some seriously awesome "Koolaide" you're ingesting.

Which completely explains away the FA's issues as well....? 😉

Didn't they get a contract to vote on that was, however small, an improvement, and they decided to vote no? I don't remember getting to vote on anything. Hmmmmmm. 😉

I'm just pointing out that your ability to draw bonafide correlation between things like succes and attire or stock price is woefully lacking. A CEO who wears a suit ( think Franke) does not automatically correlate to success and visa versa.

I'm completely Koolaide free. Wouldn't even know where to get any such corporate Koolaide even if I wanted some. When was the last time you drank in some of that rancid USAPA Koolaide (also known as believing anything they have to say)?

1) Quite honestly, and believe it or not at your pleasure; that plays not at all into this discussion for me.
2) "....guy was dressed like a college student. Now that's tacky." Indeed sir, which would have been my thought as well....but...not so much for/if a CEO of a major airline....?

1) If you're not one of the east DOH jihadists, then I apologize. Understand your dislike of the Nic.

2) Whenever I see Mr. Parker (Doug) he's in dress slacks and a dress shirt (open collar). Regarding the CFO I was referring to, Khakis would have been a vast improvement for him.

Indeed Bean. My point being that had managment made any real effort; they could have easilly had a different result there...and arguably, long ago. I'll ask you to kindly note that observation to be completely unrelated to the toxic east-west/west-east pilot insanity, and one that purely addresses managment issues. We've already got our overly poisonous playpen on the other thread to wallow around in that sad mess.......

Must bail for now. Have a fine night all.

....They saw to it that Carty was ousted, and his actions were small in comparision to Horton...

Carry was caught hiding a ton of money for management while telling the unions to take pay cuts to avoid bankruptcy. Horton is no angel, but he is not as bad as Carty was

MM,

I'm not saying that I disagree with the opinion that US has too much debt. That being said though, the numbers shown in that article are highly suspect (as in, not accurate), money is cheap right now, and the person writing that article doesn't even seem to grasp how the accounting equation works. Motley Fool? You know how when as a professional pilot you read an article by a so called aviation expert and you wonder if that person has flown anything bigger than a 152? Well.....how do I put this politely? That's how people, with a clue in the investing and financial industry view the Motley Fool and The Street. My advice, get a subscription to the Wall Street Journal.

Boy, looks like I hit a nerve. Let me guess, old Ted is a friend of yours. With your level of maturity and intelligence can't say it really surprises me.
