What's new

AMR OR AA and AE

If eagle doesn't get sold spun off or AMR doesn't get the cost saving they want from eagle. Eagle will end up like comair from DL very small regional they'll out source it to other regionals that have equipment that AMR needs and cost saving that AMR wants. That's what sucks aviation industry only way they know how to a make profit is screwing their employees.

That's right then they transferred them into Reno Air then bent them over
AirCal was dovetailed and Reno received every bit of their seniority.

Which was nothing ......

Amazing how some people have no clue as to how prior integrations (OC, QQ) were handled...

In the generic merger, it depends on at least two factors - the union(s) and terminology. AFA, for example, has as their policy that groups will be merged by DOH as long as both groups are represented by AFA. The IAM is similar, except they call merging by DOH "dovetailing". Of course, the relatively new federal law upsets those apple carts by providing for arbitration if needed. But in the US/HP merger the one group besides the pilots that went to arbitration - the dispatchers - got a DOH ruling.

The mechanics at Air Cal were dovetailed, the Reno Air mechanics company seniority was the date they hired in at Reno. Thier occupational is the date of the merger, 8/28/1999. I don't know how the other work groups were integrated.

Executive

While most people, including me, shorten it to the "creditors committee" it is really the Unsecured Creditors Committee. That committee has a lot of say on what will happen because they are risking the most after the shareholders, but the shareholders (otherwise called "owners") naturally have the most to lose as a group - their entire investment.

Oh, you may be talking about a different entry in that blog...if so ignore the above.

The details about Executive's liabilities?

Duh...I didn't even make the connection between buck's "Executive" and the Executive Airlines.... 🙄

Once you start adding up all the bills even a smallish carrier has you get to big numbers pretty fast. Of course, much of what they listed will ultimately be paid in full - governments have a knack for getting their money. In fact, most if not all of the taxes, fees, etc is probably sitting in accounts set up for putting that money into as it comes in and paying it out when due. But as pre-petition bills, there are restrictions on paying one creditor and not another, so it's sitting there in those accounts.
