Wasn't that the accident where the man gave up the life line from the helicopter 3 times to save someone else and when they went back he was gone?

We need more people in this world like them.

I believe the man your referring to was actually a passenger onboard the flight and I had forgot all about him, but you joggled my memory and yes he too was an amazing hero. the man I was referring to happened to be on his way to work that morning when he came upon the tragedy, IIRC the rescue helicopter was trying to pull her ashore with a life line and she was so cold and in shock she lost her grip, the man standing on the shore did'nt hesitate he pulled his coat and shoes off and dove into the icy water and rescued the lady.

We never know what we would do or how we would react if we found ourselves in this position, but make no mistake we see this type of selfless heroism everyday. from our troops, to our firefighters, to our police and yes to everyday ordinary citizens.

Just pointing out that in the few days of the aftermath of this, a talking head on the radio was claiming "liberals were reponsible for this" and that "Heroic Jews will never make the papers". How many folks listened to his diatribe and failed to pick up their morning papers?
