What's new

Another 8 752s from the East get ETOPS and new winglets!

What amazes me is other airlines can refurbish or install new seats and galleys on their entire int'l network of a/c yet we can't get a lousy few done. We have THE smallest widebody fleet of the majors and a few hansy pansy 757's. They are STILL hodgepodge and the new int'l seasonal flying is right around the corner. It's slap a cover on this, spray some paint on that. I know we're "low cost" so they say but come on already. We still have an ATA plane with no winglets flying around. Are the current ETOPS 757's almost done with the galley reconfiguration and standardization? I thought NOT! ! ! 🙄 Oh and go to airliners.net and see what Delta has done with the 757's they got from AA that were previously TWA. Outstanding but I'm just sayin'.

I wouldn't call US low cost.....more like "tightwad". They want to hold on to every dime as long as possible. Announce a $50 million aircraft refurbishment, but mumble something about it taking 5 years - don't want to spend all that money too fast.....
