Another dumb a$$ bigot

People need to understand that words hurt. They can hurt an individual and they can hurt a collective group. When singers or comedians use the ‘n’ word it takes the history associated with that word and marginalizes it. It takes the pain and suffering that is associated with that word and tells it "it’s no big deal’. That bothers me a great deal. It is as if history did not happen. Although given history classes in school, I am not surprised. We covered WWII in 2 days. Not like slavery, native americans or other major events in history are addressed properly.
You're a bleeding heart liberal as this post shows the world.

Cry for me too why don’t you, cry for anything [which is everything] that pains your tender delicate soul…sure, right.

What I don't get is why he's doing stand up anyway. Was his Seinfeld contract and residuals off it not enough?

Comedians like to do comedy. I had heard that for the longest time, Robin Williams would go to night clubs and after all the other comedians did their thing, he would ask to go on stage (like anyone would turn him down) and do an hour or so just off the cuff. They have a passion for comedy, to be an actor requires a certain amount of ego that needs to be stroked so why not. Tim Allen still does a concert every now and then and I believe there are several others as well.

Had Richards not lost it, we would not have this discussion. Unfortunately he did and we are lol.

Let’s take it one issue at a time.

Michael Richards.
What he did was way across the line. Most people find the word offensive to say the least. What makes it worse is that he used it in anger and in conjunction with other explicative. He can try and apologize his way out of it but as far as I am concerned, that bridge was not just burned, it was blown up. Alcohol does not turn one into an anti-Semite and anger does not turn one into a bigot. Those beliefs and ideals are there, swimming around in a cesspool waiting to escape.

For most it is a thing learned from their parents. Most wife beaters saw that growing up,most bigoted people also saw it in their home.

B1tch
No, what I said is I can call my sister a b1tch and it’s ok. She is family and what’s more, it’s my family. When I get angry and a family member I can call them things under my breath, or tell a friend that my "insert name here" is a royal ####. You on the other hand do not have the ‘right’ to walk up to me and tell me that my ‘insert name here’ is a b1tch. It takes on a different connotation and implies a different set of emotions.

Cracker/Honkey is no more excusable than the dreaded 'N' word.Simply no excuse for either...Blacks want to eliminate intolerance then it has to be a two way street. No exceptions.

Double standard
Yes there is a double standard. I don’t know that I agree with it but it exists. A person can make fun of their own people. That’s why Paul Rodrigues can make fun of other Mexicans and rapers can use the ‘n’ word. I do not like that word. I will never use it whether it be in a joke or normal conversation. Whites are like blondes in the comedy world. Everyone can take a shot at us and get a pass for the most part. Even that pass has its limits. Most of the jokes I have heard are funny. There are some that are not and when a comedian crosses that line the know it. I think Andrew Dice Clay is a good example of that. He was a flash in the pan. He rode a small wave and crashed. You never hear about him any more and I would like to think that it is because his humor (and I use that term loosely) was vile and degrading. It crossed the line and it was not funny.

When the Diceman isn't doing gigs in Vegas, you can find him on tour across the USA.
He's not begging for meals by any means.

You're not as smart as you think you are...I pulled you out didn't I...you liberal flamer

What on earth are you talking about? Pulled me out of where to do what?

Coming from you the term liberal means very little. Stalin and Lenin are liberal compared to you. I am not sure why you feel that calling me a liberal will hurt my feelings. I am liberal and have never made any bones about it. I can support my beliefs with arguments that even some here have said are well thought out. You may not agree with them and that's fine, but I have yet to see you write a well thought out argument without resorting to the use of cut and paste or insults.

And you wonder why no one takes you seriously? When people refer to the radical or fundamental right, you are an example of that.

You are a very lost soul which any Christian reading you can see. You are in the enemies grip so tightly that only sincere continuous prayer will release you, if it's God's will and for your sake I hope it is. Go ahead and laugh at me, do it now while it's still funny because my words mean nothing to you, because in time they will mean everything to you. Word are powerful and lasting and you will remember these ones I assure you. "But the natural man does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned". I Cor 2:14

I don't understand a few things here, for example: Black Folk always complain that they are being discriminated against, yet when I call just about any federal or state government agency it always seems to be a black person I must deal with. In the cop movies the top dog of the sheriff or country district office attorney always seems to be a black person and many times a woman. Yet Chis Rock can be a flaming anti white boy and people clap. Hollywood agenda?

Just because you, in your own words, "don't understand a few things" doesn't mean that racial discrimination does not exist. You suggest that whenever you call a government agency, it is always a black person you deal with. I worked for the federal government at one point and I have also noticed that black individuals are typically 'working the phones or taking out the trash'... but I also notice that they are only doing that. They are not advancing up the ladder; they are not in management positions; and they are not often considered for anything but mindless work. If a black person steal a ream of printing paper, they are fired; if a white person steals 3 reams of paper, they are slapped on the wrist.

You can suggest that white people are in the management positions because they are better educated or more qualified. While that may - statistically - be true, it does not explain why the black-to-white ratio in management positions is proportionally 'out-of-whack'.

Of course, many government agencies are better than others; but I have seen enough race-incidents to know that racial discrimination still occurs... and occurs frequently.

And another thing... I cannot believe that you are suggesting that racial discrimination doesn't exist by using "cop movies" as your evidence.

I have been turned down for different jobs and even careers for apprenticeship programs because I was a white boy. Understand they needed the manpower, but it had to be black manpower.

Have you considered the idea that perhaps you were turned down because of personality flaws rather than your fair skin?

Affirmative Action ring any bells?

Another liberal lie put forth by the Al Sharpton groupies!

So blacks are'nt afforded the same government student loans as whites?...Please post your sources.

Tell that to my manager!

Yes. Affirmative action does ring some bells... and whether right or wrong, I consider it racial discrimination.

You can call it a lie if you would like; I am just noting some of my observations while I worked for the federal government.

I am not suggesting that black individuals are not afforded the same government student loans. I actually think that black individuals have the opportunity for more scholarships than their "equal" white counterparts. I think you may have mis-read or mis-interpreted that paragraph in my last posting.

Did'nt mean to sound so crass, I just get so tired of hearing 'poor blacks' when they have every opportunity afforded them as any one else.

BTW I also think affirmative action is racial discrimination. anytime skin color is a consideration for filling a position it's basically saying 'whites need not apply' and qualifications are secondary.
