We all feel sick. Was leaving LHR tonight and one of our ground crew was crushed by the tug. Another sad accident. They said it wasn't looking good for him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him, his co-workers, and his family. I can't imigine the people who saw it what there going thru right now.

Update for those concerned...the ramper has a severely broken leg, but is stable in hospital. Luckily he got thrown over the tug at impact, doesn't bear thinking about if he'd gone under

Thank you so much for the update. I will pass it on to the pilots and FAs. We were distraught the whole flight. The pilots told us the ground people who relayed the message to them told them it didn't look good. Thank God it's so much better than we thought.

Glad to hear it as he could have had a head-to-toe crush - that ruins a person's entire day.

Hopefully, others will take heed and be a bit more careful.

Well if that is the case, lucky for the ramper considering what could have happened. Just for clarification, was it a pushback tractor or a baggage tug?
I remember hearing of a clerk at SJU about 20 years ago getting run over while pushing out an Airbus - the nose wheels from toe to waist got him - he was not so lucky.

Man, that guy and his family will certainly have much to be thankful for during the coming holiday. I'm glad there was a happy ending to this story - it could have easily been so much worse.
