Revised Posting for clarification and details:

Passenger Service employees who took the early-out package in March 2005 - and have release dates after the US Airways/AmericaWest merger date of September 27, 2005, whose age and years of service total 65, are getting the 65 point-plan benefit? Those who left before the merger date, and who fit into that category, are not getting that benefit.

Even though the Passenger Service group signed the same contract in March 2005 - and even though no one had control of their release date - anyone who left before the 9/27/05 merger date was not granted this benefit.

With the 65-point plan status there are no flight taxes, you can fly ID 90 on other airlines, you also get 4 buddy passes per year - and your flight pass ID is US instead of MI. That's an awful lot of extra benefits.

Also, will they be classified with the new "terminated" status for early-out's - or, will they be classified as "retirees"??

All Passenger Service early-out employees, who signed the contract in March 2005, should be getting the same benefits - regardless of when they left. The contract did not specify that any benefits would be different or change because of release dates.

Please alert your fellow employees. Call your local union -it is just so unfair. http://cwa.net/contact-local/

This information only pertains to March 2005 Passenger Service early-out people - not sure about any other groups.
