The sound on my computer is not the best. It sounded like the announcer said that Boeing had orders for over 1000 787s with a value of $240 billion dollars. That would make each a/c cost in the neighborhood of $240 million. Is that correct?

You are correct Jim, about 240 million a piece for the most advanced commercial aviation aircraft ever produced. BTW, a B777-300ER runs around 320 million a piece.

This is absolutely outstanding performance by a commercial aircraft.

Boeing has stolen the show this year in terms of global appeal.

I have been to both the Farnborough and Paris Air Shows and Boeing for years did not do aggressive flying at air shows - probably because of Airbus' 320 accident.

It is great to see Boeing showing off its best and well beyond what will be seen at any airport.
