You know I look everyday for good, upbeat & positive things to say about Delta.. Other than Song adding new routes & growing there isn't allot of good news out there..

In my position I talk to DL employees all over the world & the general feeling/morale is BAD with conversations usually beginning with: what is being said about bankruptcy? what about pay cuts? what about benefit increases? what about layoffs? etc..

I try through message boards and my News Web Page to find something POSITIVE about Delta, afterall I have 11 years with them myself, I simply have not been able to. Oil/Fuel, Stock Prices and Bankruptcy News are the three big stories right now.

Raizin Cain, if you have some good news please post it. I'd love to read some good news.

Beer "Guzz",

For what It's worth, here's a vote of confidence (mine) for you, and for DL.

For a lot of people, the truth hurts !!!!!!!

I rode song yesterday( Tpa/Lga + Jfk/Tpa) all in a space of 10 hrs., and Song is doing a very good job. Ya, the employees are "stretched to the limit", but when push comes to shove, I'll take Legacy employees(agents, F/a's etc) over "newbies" anyday.

Good luck.

Tell them to look at US Airways and United pay and benefits, that'll show them the truth...LOL

 Another small fare increase ...

United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Continental Airlines have raised fares on most U.S. routes to try to mitigate the effect of rising fuel costs.

United, a unit of UAL Corp., said its fare increase of $2 to $5 affected each one-way leg of a trip. Delta said its increase of $10 also applied to each leg of a trip except in markets where it faced low-cost competition, where the fare would rise by $3 to $5 per leg.

Continental said on Thursday it was matching Delta’s fare hike. It was not immediately clear when Continental’s increase would go into effect. But United and Delta said their increases were effective immediately.

United, Delta, Continental raise U.S. fares

But wait... The reality is .. Oil Broke $65.80BL today  . Could it be that this small fare increase is designed to "slightly" offset the cost of gas?

Am I being negative or honest?
