All that being said, let's hope her trust fund has matured.  Burning bridges when you depart a company is never wise unless you are independently wealthy.  Particularly in an industry where there are a lot more applicants than there are openings.  And, I can tell you that the broadcast industry is a small family like the theater industry.  Even if the last company follows all the Employer/employee rules and never gives the exact reason for her departure, that information has a way of getting out anyway.  She may very well never get another job in the broadcast business.

All of us at one time or another have probably thought about saying "F you, I quit", especially in the aviation biz.  Most of us though are smart enough not to do so.  She on the other hand decided to throw caution to the wind.  By doing so she has made almost impossible to get a job in broadcasting along with putting herself on law enforcement radar.

Fine. Tell me why dope rocks your world. Your cause is questionable when you feel you must use foul language in your Swan Song.

She might already have plans to be in CO or WA where pot is legal now.  From the sounds of it, the industry is growing like a ..... weed.. lol.  I hope she fairs well in her endeavors.

At least she has her priorities right. Joining the ranks of the unemployed and sit at home to smoke pot and watch TMZ.

You know this how?  With your ability to predict the unknown I would have thought you would have bought the winning Lotto ticket and not be wasting time on this board.

Do you smoke pot?

I predict that reporter would have a problem getting a job in the future.

I recall the TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) could not get your job back, right? If you are a pot smoker good luck getting a job.

"Under Texas and federal laws, there is almost no limitation at all on the right of private employers to adopt drug and alcohol testing policies for their workers."

Whether I some or not is immaterial. Whether she smokes or not is immaterial. She quit. She is not looking to get her job back.

There are countless vocations that do not drug test so employment would not be an issue. I think the number of people employees who do drugs would surprise most people.
