How do you see the timeline unfolding for US Airways exit from BK? It is looking like when and not if at this point.

Why bother?

This is a waste of time, the company has to exit by june 30th, dont you pay attention?

The company will exit Chapter 11 and enter Chapter 7 NLT 30 Jan.

UYH,

It really does'nt matter when US emerges from bk. Absolutely, NOTHING positive will be waiting for the employees at all. And condersidering the history of US, chances are great that another BK is in the future for US. Mismanaged in the past, mismanagement awaits. Take from the employees, give to management. Take flights away from mainline, give to Mesa. Cost (because of RJ's) remain higher than LCC's, Management will continue to blame Labor. Nothing changed!!!

The thieves only went into bk (like Lorenzo) to gutt labor contracts and eliminate pensions and retirment medical.

The exec. made sure that they FULLY FUNDED their pensions before filing bk...(obviously endorsed and sanctioned by the wallstreet gamblers who sit on the board) what do you say to that useyourhead...NOT?????

Probably NOTHING.

Coward.

We may emerge from BK because (union busting) GE will make sure of it...

But the employees know there will be no profits here at U, no future for them, as the employees do not have any incentive to work here or to produce for U. Loyalty has evaporated...and the attritition rate will be a revolving door.

Just a job.

What would I say about...its wrong for execs to have their pensions fully funded. In the USA that is how wallstreet, BODs, etc. work.

The choices right now for labor are simple, the cowards are ones that try and take the simple way out, just say no, blame others that have the courage to stand up and announce that they are willing to make the tough choices.

Oh yea, and another coward option is being negative about everything, everybody, and so on....

Sound familiar? Look in the mirror :-(

Useyourhead,

This is the NEW REALITY; there is no loyalty...execs aren't loyal to the company, and neither will be the rank and file.

I don't think you have had any education regarding labor relations. Companies such as the one you work for....will not produce or make money....because the employees provide the product to this "people business".

This managment knows nothing about people, good faith, integrity in business and the importance in treating your employees as the most important element in the business....

Unfortunately, U will fail. I have a profound sense that managment know this, and if you look into their faces, they have a profound sense of regret, embarrassement for what they've have done to this work force...but its too late.

And, no, Charlie Brown...it was not all necessary.

You have to sit in the court room to hear the argument to understand remotely what I mean.

Have you ever had a sense of loyalty here...btw, how do you know if I have made it court some days?

Anyway, we shall see, one thing I do know...you are doing everything you can here to help it fail, shame on you!

If you are in the court room...you are NOT a pilot. There are no pilots in the courtroom....only 1 ALPA attorney who identified herself.

I have 24 years of loyalty to this company.

Now you have to ask YOURSELF ...who is the company????????

ITS THE EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE BUILT THE FOUNDATION OF THIS FRANCHISE AND HAVE MADE IT SUSTAINING FOR YOU TO HAVE A JOB.... HOT SHOT!!!!

Just as Alexander the Great....did not conquer all of Persia and Asia by himself now did he...or with just 25 troops?

His greatness was his people who gave him their loylty, respect, and gave him the courage to defeat his enemies and conquer the known world.

And you ask...why would they do this for him???? Because he loved his troops and shared everything with them...riches, glory, land, gold....

To this I MUST respond!

I know this lady personally and you couldn't be further from the truth. Two wrongs don't make a right and because you don't understand everything that happens doesn’t give you the right to pass judgment especially since you are dead wrong!

Oh, I get it. Anyone who has the guts to fight and doesn't go along with UYH's genuflection to Lakefield's new culture of serfdom is a "coward" or "stupid."

Why do you put down dates like they are set in stone? Nothing is. So what if there is an agreement in place to exit by 1/30 4/30 or 6/30. Everything is subject to change and it is a ploy by the company to scare you to pony up or else. You do know that don't you? My god I hope so.

A friend told me the new contracts are:
"giving bad managers more time to manage badly"

I would hope he is wrong but probably not.

DUDE AT THIS POINT...WHO REALLY GIVES A DAMN???
