story here

A choice of snack items will be available on more than 1,400 domestic flights of two hours or greater. Items available for purchase will include GNS Cinn-a-berry Breakfast Blend (dried cranberries, yogurt covered raisins, cinnamon almonds, banana chips and graham cereal), Mega Bite® Snickerdoodle Cookies, Lay's Stax® Potato Crisps, and Milk Chocolate M&M's® for $3 each or Dannon® Spring(tm) bottled water for $2 each.

In addition to the snacks, American will offer passengers on 600 domestic flights three hours or longer the opportunity to purchase a fresh light meal. Choices vary based on destination, but currently include a breakfast bagel sandwich, club croissant sandwich, Italian wrap, turkey and swiss ciabatta, or Asian chicken salad for $5.

The caribbean except for Dominican Republic and Haiti will have BOB.

Anybody know how this affects flights from Miami to Port of Spain, St. Lucia, and Bridgetown? The reason being is because those three routes from Miami are considered "South America", not "Caribbean/Central America", and hence have South American service levels, such as meal service.

Besides, have you not read your latest Jetmail????

Effective 01JAN07, we are no longer calling it BOB--Buy on Board for those non-AA people who might be reading. It will now be called by the mysterious, inscrutable name of FOOD FOR SALE!

However did they come up with such a tricky term?
