Cruz cant run for President, can he?

He was born in Canada, dont you have to be born on US Soil or on a military base to run?
I don't doubt President Obama's US citizenship as well as Ted Cruz.

"Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, when his parents were working in the Canadian oil business. His mother, Eleanor, was born in America, while his father, Rafael, is a Cuban who didn't become a U.S. citizen until 2005.

Under U.S. law, a child born to an American parent gets automatic citizenship even if the birthplace is beyond U.S. borders. Canada, like the United States, also gives automatic citizenship to anyone born on its soil."

Will Bridgegate take it's toll on Chritie's presidential hopes?

Benghazi wasn't a big deal, right? So why should this be a big deal?

Nice sarcasm.

I was working a fundraiser where Christie spoke, he is impressive, but still a republican.

He was a better speaker than Rubio.

Chris ChristieSpecter?

I'd prefer Ted Cruz but will support a GOP candidate like Christie to keep Hillary out of the White House.
I'm sure the democrats agree with you about Cruz.  They would love for him to be on the ticket.  Putting someone like Cruz on the ticket will loose the WH for the GOP.  He is way to partisan to win the independent which is where elections are won.  I seriously doubt the core republicans who vote in the primaries will support Christe, Rubio or other like them.  I believe they are to moderate for the core republicans who vote in the primaries.

I thought I read where one of his parents was a US citizen.  As far as I am aware that makes him a US citizen.

Title 8 of the US Code, Section 1401 says this:

  • Anyone born inside the United States.  The person must be “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States.  (This would exempt the child of a diplomat, for example, from this provision.)
  • Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe
  • Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
  • Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
  • Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
  • Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
  • Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)

Last time I checked Canada isnt a a US Possesion

Depends how he deals with it.  Careers have been sunk over less.  Personally I doubt it will affect him much unless there is more to the story.

I'm betting that the DNC is having wet dreams about Cruz running.

Actually, no.........all you gotta do is have your mommy or daddy be natural born to qualify you, Ask Mitt or Baracky.

Don't let the facts get in your way.
