Let’s review how we got into this argument. Cooper43 made the ludicrous statement that “Saddam was no more of a threat to us than is any other Middle East countryâ€￾. for the inept actions of the Clinton Administration and Democrats (past and present).

In fairness?..His capability had been greatly reduced through earlier military actions. Let's start with this one..and not even go into the vast chem warfare stockpiles destroyed during/after Desert Storm:

No question in any reasonable mind that this liitle gem of a dictator was "harmless", both in action and intent. 🙄

Then why did he never threaten the US. Iran has and we have not gone in there. N Korea has nukes and we have not gone in there. Iraq supposedly had WMD's during gulf one yet none of the scuds launched at Israel had anything other than TNT on them. Sadam was quite low on the scale of threatening nations and he ha nothing to do with 9/11 Saudi Arabia had far more to do with it, but W likes them and is making money for them so no need to go looking in that closet.

OH yea, forgot about Pakistan. They have nukes and a military dictator but not to worry about them, we like him ... for now. Just like we used to like Sadam until we decided he could benefit the US better by being dead.

By no means. I know of very few that are much enamoured of the "liberals" though. How many of "the soldiers fighting this war" do you actually know?....OK then.

Actually I know several who are liberal minded and have come not to agree with this war. They however would never shirk thier duties as soldeirs. Some of my friends joined the military for the benefits that come with service to this country. So before you say "OK then" realize the military is made up of all kinds of people not just a cookie cutter version of yourself.

Lets see fences like respect in the world, unlike his cowboy mentality not all people value bullies. We should exhibit strength but should only use that strength in absolutely neccessary times. This was a war of choice. Iraq never touched us and were not a part of 9/11.

"our own truth" presumes socially acceptable, ut still delusional states imho.

Your truth is that you believe..... I don't know........that whatever bush and his cronies say is the gospel, or maybe that the only way to be strong is to wage war even when there is no clear evidence why you should wage war...(1st Saddam was connected with the 9/11 terrorist, 2nd Saddam was a danger to the US because he had weapons of mass destruction, 3rd we were liberators (to people who had not asked to be liberated) 4th to bring stability in the middle east (yeah now its stable).

its funny how when you cant defend your reason any more you revert to calling people cowards, yours i think your life is the sad life. Insecurity breads bullies.
