Calif. lawmaker proposes legalizing marijuana

We can smoke tobacco, drink hard alcohol but marijuana is illegal. Take the criminal element out of it, let it be produced and sold like any other product. Great source of revenue.

Some how I doubt the stuck up prudes will let it pass. I also suspect the Feds will stick their nose in like they did with the medicinal pot. Not sure why CA thinks the Feds will just lie down for when they propose a free for all.

IMO if someone wants to puff away in their home let em. However with the issue of possible legaization you have to ask the question who do you make it legal for?

I do not understand your question. If you are asking about age, I would assume it would be the same for any other 'controlled' substance. I think it should be 18 years old and up.

I have never touched the stuff so I do not know what is involved with growing, drying, processing... etc but I would think it would be more of a PIA to grow your own instead of going down to the neighborhood store and purchasing a bit. I bet that if you are caught selling without a license your butt is going to be in big trouble. As for taxing, I suppose it will be like any other enterprise. I bet there are quite a few small business out there who are flying under the IRS radar selling a dew items here and there and not paying taxes. The major source of revenue would be the large whole sale/retail companies.

Feds will never go for it. They would rather waste millions of dollars trying to track the stuff down. What a waste.

I was thinking more along the lines of what someone does for a living. If an individual has a job involving public safety should they be puffing away?

A Dem is the sponsor of this bill. Libertarians are not the only ones who can do this.

As Hadenough eluded to, there are precautions taken with regards too alcohol. Could those same precautions not be transferred to any narcotic?

Does anyone know if there is a THC equivalent of a BAC test for marijuana? IIRC, THC stays in your system for quite some time but the 'high' does not last for that long.

"This is my second order. I am so glad I found your site. I already feel that my daughter and I are building trust again through the use of the tests. You are SO right... Once she knew that I would test her regularly, she had an "out"... a reason to say no... I just wish I had done this a year ago. Thanks again!"

States rights for stoner's

"I think it definitely signals that Obama is moving in a new direction, that it means what he said on the campaign trail that marijuana should be treated as a health issue rather than a criminal justice issue," he said.

Oh.......I need a Doctor.....

They'll stone you just like they said they would
They'll stone you when you're trying to go home
And they'll stone you when you're there all alone
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned

Yeehaw
