As usual, TWUI spreads the old and tired "fear, fear, fear" message that he used to blast others over when he was posting as RV4, AMFA Dave, and Decision 2004...
If the subpoena request was part of investigating an alleged work slowdown, you'd be an idiot not to expect management to investigate.
If the HR folks are reading the website, then I stand corrected, however I'm sure they're doing it to get the pulse of where the rank and file are on various issues, and not to fire people for badmouthing the company.
I know that I and a few others keep up with the various boards to form our own opinions on what the rumblings were, because the alternative was to rely entirely on what the station supervisors and managers were filtering back, and as you already know, what gets filtered up the ladder and back down again isn't always a reflection of reality. But we're not paid to do it any more than I'm paid to read Aviation Daily, Air Transport World, the NY Times, or trade journals to keep up on events which might impact how we do business.
Regardless of why someone would be monitoring or reading, I guess the point I wanted to make is that if HR were really looking to go after individuals for bad mouthing the company, we'd have heard about it by now from one or more of the people here who use their real names for posting. And that's never taken place.
In fact, I might be the only one here who has ever been questioned for comments made on a bulletin board, and even there it was because someone at the TWU felt I was favoring AMFA... How's that for irony?
AA wanted to know the identities of the posters and also the identities of all AMFA card signers. Bottom line, they got neither, but they did try. Now they did just get the identity of the F/A with the training video and also an HR rep did mention to a fellow worker that they did copy the-mechanic.com postings
