Cancun 757 Engine Change

Correct...Lost revenue. I heard it's 100k a day for a 757 and 50-75k a day for 737 or 319.

But on the good side...It's not burning any fuel...!!

Your always gonna run into this type of repair, you beg..borrow and steal to get it done. The road trip motto...!!!

Yea, revenue but no profit. But the 60k comes out of profit, . . . . but then again there's no profit in that 100k of revenue since U's losing money like crazy.

Does anyone know what caused the engine change, was it fod damage or fire ? It had to have been a serious problem to cause a change in Cancun , its obvious a maintenance ferry flight was not possible .

Charter a 747 to send a 10,000lb engine. Wow . . . another cost saving coup by U managers. Let's see . . . . $8k an hour for short notice charter x 8 hours = $64k for transport only.

I'm sure Carnival would have thrown it in the hold. We could have just booked a quad cabin for the mechanics and told Carnival that was their luggage. 😉
