There was a guy back in the early/mid 2000 era that posted here. Cavalier was his ID. He retired from US in 2004 or 2005. Anybody know his name. He and I are in the same hobby grouping.

PM me if you can help. Do NOT post it.

Gracias.

Sorry, don’t know the guy, but a question if I may-

I didn’t realize that this chatboard has been around this long. Every now and then somebody comments on why the US Airways section is so active, but the other airlines don’t see nearly as much traffic.

Any insight on why this is?

I got the answer...Tnx.

This chat board actually goes WAY back to the late 1990s. It used to be part of Holly Hegeman's Plane Business. At some point, Holly decided to change the way her business model was structured and the PlaneBusiness message boards were not part of it. USAviation stepped into the breech and many folks moved. Mostly US and United, with some American. The AA boards were much more populated on the PBB board, as was the WN board and the CO board. Not sure what happened with them.

But US was and always has been the most active - probably because there has always been somebody passing gas in the pews. If it wasnt the arrival of the A330s, the announced merger with UA in 2000, the departure of Castle Wolfenstein, the arrival of Siegel, the BK rounds, rumors of firings at the Crystal Palace, disasters involving bags at PHL, thunderstorms, the 9-11 incidents, the rebranding of the carrier, the layoffs, the merger wth HP, the announcement of "throwback" planes, it was something else......................
