Its a terrible time for America today, and the world. Enormous amount of world anger, So much chaos, and discontent and greed "run a muck".
Yawwwwwwn....here we go again.
That may be your observation, but.....Seems to me that every economic indicator would tell you differently. Are you speaking from a combination of personal experience and listening to/reading liberal, biased media? Have you seen the financial markets and read some solid economic data unfiltered? Unemployment at 4.7%. Dow 30 hit an all time record this week at 11,750. Consumer confidence above 90%. Oil prices falling due to heavy surplus and low demand period coming up(Winter). Lower federal taxes paid (yes, middle class too). I could go on. We'll find out soon enough if the country votes with their feelings on the war. Mid-Terms are less than 2 months away. Will we vote to keep a GOP controlled Congress? I will. Iraq is a crappy situation to be in, but I'm not going to rehash the thread from a month ago where some of us debated whether or not Saddam had WMD's or not. He did. That's old news now, but some keep denying it. He was as big a threat as Al Qaida was prior to 9/11 (and still is).Folks are sick of struggling, not able to make ends meet, credit problems, health issues, as well as family problems that are associated......I'm only citing an observation.
Clearly the airline labor force is not experiencing the good times many other industries are while they recover from the biggest losses of anyone. But I can tell you that MY observation in my industry (computer software/architecture) is that we can't FIND skilled people to do the good paying jobs. Why is that?
What do you have in mind? I look forward to this one.Time to rise up.
