Oh my God, not another non-TWU/AFL-CIO officially sponsored website.
What on earth will High Speed Steel do when he finds out?
You know we can only believe the information that officially comes from the alter of the TWU/AFL-CIO.
We would not want folks to have balanced and objective information that would allow them to think and act on their own.
We must maintain the cult information web and union meeting as the only place to really know what we should think about issues.
Someone needs to get to the hall and tell them to do something to stop this unofficial communication source.
I have to wonder though, why does HSS spend so much time at this unofficial non-sponsored site?

Informer, Now you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. You brought the existance of your site to my attention last night which I informed you I had already seen it.
You kept telling me it was a tool for me to use during the election process so why are you displaying that I have visited the site?
If you are monitoring my visits and criticizing me for visiting it here then things are a little wishy-washy.... wouldn't ya think.

I'm sure the IAM at Boeing and the Longshoreman at LGB would disagree with you. And history does as well -- one of the first national strikes by a union was from the National Textile Workers Union, which shut down mills across the southeast, well south of the Mason Dixon line. Then again, my labor relations class used that strike as the case study for why the south has such an anti-union attitude.
And, with people like TFC buying non-union products to "screw over the fat cats", it's obvious that even those brought up in the NYC union culture don't follow it once they leave.

It might be that there are plenty of real union men, there just aren't any real union leaders.

Great leaders, also have to have the support of the Individual members...99% of the time.

In an AA "situation", think of the following;
(former moderAAtor HAS seen this scenario)
How many times have ANY of you seen a twu member, go into a supervisors office, on a attendance "discussion"..WITHOUT a shop steward ????
How many times have you seen "that" individual get CORN HOLED by management, then make the assinine statement that "the union did'nt do #### for me" ?????
The answers my friends are, that WE have all seen both scenarios !!
AND
FM has put guys on "steps" because some A$$ HOLE was in his office...."bareassed"

Burchette and Co. would allow AA to get rid of all the line stations before TUL is touched. He would then make sure no "line" mechanics would be allowed to bump into TUL.
One may say, well, Burchette, is just protecting his members.
So what does this mean? This means only TULSA MATTERS.

NHBB us Northerners dont have much to crow about anymore when it comes to unionisim. The fact is the movement has been plauged by poor, really non-existant, leadership for years.Look at the current top men in the New York ATD Locals, about as company union'ish' as anything you might find south of the Mason Dixon line. 504, 501, 562, all right up Littles arse. Whose fault is that? The southerners didnt put these people in place. In the meantime union minded members keep waiting for change. If it comes it has to start in Tulsa.
The reason why people like Gia, Burchette and a few others get into office is because better people dont bother to run because they feel that its futile. If we can get some good leadership out of Tulsa then it would be worthwile for others to step up to the plate and make real change. There are some good guys out there already, but they cant do much the way things are. The first priority should be to build unity which can only exist when the needs of all are considered instead of just enough to get contracts through.
