What's new

Charles Gibson...ABC News.

2 years executive experience for openers.

What was the other guy? Oh a door to door Marxist organizer .....pretty qualified.

I modified the post but how exactly does experience guarantee anything? Bush had 6 years and Reagan had 8. Both were considered arm chair presidents. Neither had any firm understanding of world politics or what was going on. They delegated their job and relied on the experience of others to do their job.

BTW, does the fact that one is governor automatically qualify one for POTUS or should we be looking at the quality of ones term(s). Is being an executive the only thing a POTUS needs to know? What about knowledge of economics, international affairs, negotiating skills just to name a few.

This will get a lot of play by the left in this country, no doubt. However when Biden tells a fellow politician in a wheelchair to stand up, it's pushed aside as being a human error. In this country the GOP must be in God mode and if not they are picked to pieces.

Oh...you mean the liberal media that never picked up and ran when Bush told a blind man to take off his sunglasses b/c it wasn't that bright? Just b/c a bunch of crazies run around saying the media is liberal doesn't make it so. In fact...the Bush Admin has done a very good job in making sure that the media is conservative. Neo-Cons control the media and you know that so don't try to make something 'fact' just b/c you state it. Support something with facts once in a while.

It worked for hither to unknown BJ Clinton...and look at his legacy....

At least Obama matriculated (that means graduated)from Columbia, Harvard and can read, write and speak about current affairs and policies without worrying about a script.

Posters note😛lease do not use big words that are above my education level.

That's why its a known fact he stammers and stutters when no one is talking in his ear...

You call us Socialists but you R's want to regulate morality, give tax breaks to companies who export our jobs and give tax breaks to the top 3% earners.

You back a known Marxist street organizer with known connections to radicals and terrorists who support government overthrow...and your feelings are hurt?

Neo con controlled media

By 5-to-1 Public Thinks Most Journalists
Trying to Elect Obama

A week after a Rasmussen Reports survey discovered that by a ten-to-one margin the public believes the media are trying to hurt Sarah Palin, a new Rasmussen poll of 1,000 likely voters, briefly highlighted Wednesday night on FNC's Hannity & Colmes, determined "69 percent remain convinced that reporters try to help the candidate they want to win, and this year by a nearly five-to-one margin voters believe they are trying to help Barack Obama." Specifically, "50 percent of voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama win versus 11 percent who believe they are trying to help his Republican opponent John McCain" with 26 percent saying "reporters offer unbiased coverage."

Even amongst Democrats, more think journalists are aiding Democrat Obama than Republican McCain: "While 83 percent of Republican voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama, 19 percent of Democrats agree, one percentage point higher than the number of Democrats who believe they are trying to help McCain." Most telling, "unaffiliated voters by a 53 percent to 10 percent margin see reporters trying to help Obama."

Matching the overall public perception of a pro-Obama media, "45 percent of Democrats say most reporters are providing unbiased coverage in the current presidential campaign, but only 20 percent of unaffiliateds and nine percent (9%) of Republicans agree."

Of course its all right wing propaganda...

Governor Palin is running for President of the United States?

Why it is the Democrat nominee for President is debating the Republican nominee for Vice President? How long can the Democrats hide Joe Biden from engaging his political counterpart? Maybe Biden is waiting for Hillary Clinton to debate Sarah Palin since, by hair plugs on admission, he considers Hillary to be more qualified to be Vice President.

Joe Biden: Hillary Clinton would've been better VP than me

New Hampshire Black Bears,

I see you took the liberty to bowdlerize her quote mid-sentence in order to make it fit the narrative you are trying to build of her. One only has to read transcripts of the interview to realize how egregious your distortions really are.

Gibson: Do you agree with the Bush doctrine?

Palin: In what respect, Charles?

Gibson: The Bush - - well, what do you - -what do you interpret it to be?

Palin: His world view.

Gibson: No, the Bush doctrine, enunciated September 2002, before the Iraq war.

Palin: I believe that what President Bush has attempted to do is rid this world of Islamic extremism, terrorists who are hell bent on destroying our nation. There have been blunders along the way, though. There have been mistakes made. And with new leadership, and that’s the beauty of American elections, of course, and democracy, is with new leadership comes the opportunity to do things better.

Gibson: The Bush doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense, that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us. Do you agree with that?

Palin: I agree that a president’s job, when they swear in their oath to uphold our Constitution, their top priority is to defend the United States of America.

I know that John McCain will do that and I, as his Vice President, families we are blessed with that vote of the American people and are elected to serve and are sworn in on January 20, that we be our top priority is to defend the American people.

Gibson: Do we have a right to anticipatory self-defense? Do we have a right to make a preemptive strike against another country if we feel that country might strike us?

Palin: Charlie, if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the president has the obligation, the duty to defend.

Gibson: Do we have the right to be making cross-border attacks into Pakistan from Afghanistan, with or without the approval of the Pakistani government?

Palin: Now, as for our right to invade, we’re going to work with these countries, building new relationships, working with existing allies, but forging new, also, in order to, Charlie, get to the point in this world where war is not going to be the first option. In fact, war has got to be, a military strike, a last option.

Gibson: But, Governor, I’m asking you: We have the right, in your mind, to go across the border with or without the approval of the Pakistani government.

Palin: In order to stop Islamic extremists, those terrorists who would seek to destroy America and our allies, we must do whatever it takes and we must not blink, Charlie, in making those tough decisions of where we go and even who we target.

Gibson: And let me finish with this. I got lost in a blizzard of words there. Is that a yes? That you think we have the right to go across the border with or without the approval of the Pakistani government, to go after terrorist who are in the Wazinistan area?

Palin: I believe that America has to exercise all options in order to stop the terrorists who are hell bent on destroying America and our allies. We have got to have all options out there on the table.

Black Bears, you intentionally edited the transcript with (other than Pakistan) and (ATTACK anyone) so you didn’t have to defend Obama’s statement that he would do the exact same thing to Pakistan as Palin said she and McCain would do.

Now Black Bears, explain yourself!

Was that the wrong answer?

What's really funny is this...mark it down---Obama will lose--- LOL

Why? Because sanity will prevail.

The personal attacks and namecalling are to stop now. Some have already been sent to the cornfield. Stick to the issues or the thread will be closed or deleted.

And, like your Mother, I don't CARE who started it.

The dead druggie could probably tell you what the Bush doctrine is.

People are going to stop praying if God doesn't start helping her out.

Baroque believes in attacking sovereign countries the same as Bush/McCain/Palin/Biden do. What’s your point?

As for the prayer comment, yesterday tech2101 indicated that he and his family will be approximately 20 miles from the landfall point of hurricane Ike. The only support we can offer him, at this point, is to say a prayer to our God to protect him and his family from harm.

Is it safe to say you will not be saying a prayer to God on tech2101’s behalf?

Well gosh-golly...you have me convinced. Try this link:
"Media Watch Dog group created and run by NeoCons"

So I'm supposed to believe the study of liberal media bias that was put out by a conservative group pretending to be unbiased? This is the campaign that the Cons have been on for years...and idiots believe them (or pretend to).

Of course its all right wing propaganda...

And just b/c the majority of the country is tired of Bush/McCain policies and can see the destruction they have caused to this country, that doesn't mean there is a bias. The news reports on a bad economy. I KNOW it is bad. My income has stagnated under Bush and I can't afford squat (I'm not in the elite rich tax bracket). I saved my tax rebate b/c it's idiotic to spend it so that didn't stimulate the economy. etc, etc. Media reports on the concerns. It just so happens that the concerns are with the direction of this country and people are angry that the only mission of Bush, McCain, and now pitbull Palin has been to drive a huge wedge between the parties. The division is at its worst level in history and that has rendered our gov't useless. The public has picked up on this. THAT is where your Obama support comes from. But I'm sure the Reps will do what they are so good at and that is to distract the easily misguided public from the real issues and ride lipstick on a pig (McCain's comments initially) horse all the way in the same they did with the swift boat lies. Oh yes...and we will be told soon to be very afraid for our security. We are ALL in IMMEDIATE danger and therefore must vote Repub. Enough gullible middle-of-the-roaders will be swayed and Bush's third term will start. Oh golly. I can't wait.

But I really want to thank you for the correction you provided about media bias. As always...you pick a totally unaffiliated website.
