First of all, .....you've got to be an IDIOT (NO, Not you southwind)....to try and implement Gun Control in a state like (wild West) Colorado. These two Obviously didn't thoroughly KNOW thier constituents very well.
You don't see these kind of mistakes in Democrat controlled states (Gov. and Both US Senators) like lil ol' NH, or Montana.

Because both states have a 'good read' on what will pass, and what will fail. It's Not very complicated !

If it was a small turnout, I wonder how much per vote it cost the NRA. Small turnouts don't necessarily reflect the mood of a state. Here in Kansas City, the "voters" passeed spending several million dollars for a two mile long streetcar line. There were less than 1,000 votes cast. Meanwhile, 800 miles to the east

If you want to make an issue of what the NRA spent, it was a bargain compared to what the gun-haters spent.

Recall proponents raised less than $1M, and I've seen numbers as low as $300,000.

Bloomberg spent some $3M.
