Colorado Recall: both Dems removed from office

I don't find it the least bit funny. Devastation of this kind is never funny. The flood waters care not of political or religious persuasion.

Glen. I was not making light of the suffering, only the wording and the timing.

You sure about that? The loony right-wing are always attributing national disasters to God's wrath over gay marriage/black Presidents/minority voting rights/whatever they don't like. And, the looney right-wing are always right. The Bible tells them so.

Remember when the Dems said it was OK to say it was God's will that a a hurricane targeted the RNC or tornados were targeting states like TX/OK/MO which are filled with Red voters, yet it was horribly poor taste to comment on the earthquake in Washington DC or hurricane Sandy?...

Yeah, didn't think so.

The flooding in Colorado is indeed tragic, but is perhaps a good sign as well, in that the drought which has hit the western states over the past few years may be coming to an end.

Remember when the Republicans swore the polls were wrong and Romney was going to be President?

And it was also wrong then.

Do you really want to compare how many times religious whack jobs said that some natural phenomena was sign of god to the evil liberals to the amount of times it was the other way around? Really?

Hey. Dont complain to me. Eolesen said that the dems said it was ok while the republicans were wrong for saying it. All I was pointing out is if he wants to get into a pissing match over who uses natural events as gods retribution more the right wing nuts will beat out the left wing nut jobs hands down. Look at Fred Phelps. Yea I know he does not represent all conservatives but the piint is the right wingers will use the claim far more often.

I firmly believe that republicans and dems are generally equal in all things dishonest and sleasy but when it comes to abuse of religion I think the religious right wins hands down.

When is the last time you heard of anyone complaining about the religious left?
