Consolidation Won't Cure These Overvalued Stocks

I am not surprised with the opinion of this author.

Personally I think most U.S. stocks are overrated any way. With the decline of the dollar and the huge debt, I revamped my portfolio to include Latin America, China, and Precious Metals and a little Oil. Did this about two years ago and enjoying better than a %16 return, better than any CD.

Airline stocks too risky. DAL, when they emerge from BK, have a good chance of making a decent return on the new stock. It's a global market and they're well positioned to compete globally. I noticed USAir went way up only when they announced the takeover of DAL, but will it stay there? Dunno. It is predicted to be a good year for airlines, domestically, internationally or both?

Well if what you say is true, UAUA should be double what it is now. Their network makes DAL look like Jetblue.

Once the benefits of the dollar carry trade become outweighed by the burdens to the ChiComs, the dollar will be toast. Bush has run us off an economic cliff - there is no way we can pay our liabilities other than inflating them away.

True, getting ready to buy some investment property in Brazil before it's too late. The boom is about to happen.
