I was surprised to see so many E-Savers this weekend. Someone has lots of confidence in the cut-over!?!
U has no ticketing or baggage agreement with WN.
ID90's are svc charge tkts OW-25.00 RT-50.00 plus applicable taxes.
Do you all forget when US changed systems between Thanksgiving and Christmas?? We went on the floor and had no idea how to even make a reservation. After going through both new hire classses and working on both systems this is a much easier cut over. If I can pick up shares in a split second so can any Loooooong time agent can. Good luck guys. Everyone print your boarding passes before 10pm March 3 for travel March 4==that's the smart thing to doThere was really no "ideal" cutover time. The operation is busy at all times, flights are full as well. Testing had to be completed over and over.
This is not just a simple cutover to SHARES, but rather this system has taken the good from both systems and combined, it's more of a hybrid. If anyone thinks it will go over without glitches is fooling themselves. The question will be how big are the glitches and what damage do they cause if any?
Its a big weekend and May is around the corner for the single certificate completion as well, so things are starting to fit together and its been a tough tough road.
Say it isn't so? Someone on this board that actually has a POSITIVE attitude! Wow! 😀Yes, you're right about that; ZEDs and OAL nonrev ticketing is much easier on QIK/SHARES than it was on SABRE.![]()
That will be hard unless you go to an airport. Web checkin on both systems goes down on Friday night as part of the migration.Everyone print your boarding passes before 10pm March 3 for travel March 4==that's the smart thing to do
Psgr;s as well as non rev's travelling the key word is PATIENCE.
Expect long lines and DELAYS>
When did Tempe ever get something done right the first time? I am waiting to buy my ticket to Ft. Myers in May. I want to see what's not going to happen. I bought a few extra microwave-able boxes of Popcorn.I'm actually quite positive!
Positive that there WILL be problems. Frankly anything above a total system wide meltdown should be considered a success.
If they get the sure to occur res glitches fixed and out out by March 31 it will be a rousing success.
If anyone thinks this is gonna go like flipping on a light switch then clearly they have better drugs than I do.
Actually, on any given day patience will make you live longer. It also may make someone else's life a little easier. You never know when you may need someone elses patience. Karma. As much as I don't want to encourage anger towards the frontline folks (especially in the east), patience (or extra patience) should not be asked or required of travelers who had nothing more than to book a ticket on a particular weekend in March.
It's LCC's fault, not the customer.
I agree.Actually, on any given day patience will make you live longer. It also may make someone else's life a little easier. You never know when you may need someone elses patience. Karma.
So I'll have a double dirty martini and five cigarettes while I patiently wait. It all balances out right? 🙂Actually, on any given day patience will make you live longer. It also may make someone else's life a little easier. You never know when you may need someone elses patience. Karma.
Would you like "Filtered" or "Non-Filtered"?So I'll have a double dirty martini and five cigarettes while I patiently wait. It all balances out right? 🙂
