The day US Airways filed for bankruptcy protection last fall, customer service agent Cathy Bradley and 13 of her friends worked what they thought were their final shifts, the latest victims of layoffs in the airline's cost-cutting.
This spring, the airline called each asking them to come back. Almost all said yes. Bradley, 42, said no.
