"The fact of the matter is the proposal is a very labor-friendly proposal," Parker said. "Every employee will be at least as well off as they are today."
Maybe you should worry about integrating your own contracts first.Ahhhh - I love it, Delta just needs to come to grips with reality... I am just beside myself at how much they value their arrogance. 9-12 billion, and i didn't think i would be able to quit laughing... The best part is the employees though.. They are supporting and creating attitude that they are better off alone. And for what i ask myself? So management can keep their jobs maybe for a year or so before they totally fall flat on their face.. The non union employees of Delta should embrace this because the nasty words they are spouting are pissing the girls in Philly off, and I am thinking that if it ends up happening the staple gun will be used.. ahhh the joys... I cant wait for the deltoids to come to grips with reality.. However it may be tooo late.. All of the nasty words have been said.... I am thinking as others have suggested and been talking about these last few days,,, we should make them reinterview ( like they did pan-am ) and the ones we like we keep and the ones we dont - well there is always airtran out of ATL...
Re Read it! here is what it says:Oh, Parker disagrees with the value. At least the title of this thread states it accurately. No big suprise.
The creditors committee has already stated it supports DL's plan. It has seen US's plan and yet the statement didn't mention supportig that plan did it? Hmmmm?
Don't worry folks. You won't be working for Delta Airlines anytime soon. That is unless of course you want to send in an application like everyone else.

Re Read it! here is what it says:
Parker's comments came as the unsecured creditors committee in Delta's bankruptcy case, which holds a key role in deciding the carrier's fate, said Wednesday it supports Delta's decision to file its stand-alone reorganization plan, but that it also will weigh alternatives.
Lets just get what was said straight!

They support DL's desicion to file a stand alone plan...they did not say they support the plan itself! That is what the article said. That is exactly what I said. The unsecured creditors committee supports Delta's stand alone plan.
That is a factual statement.
The creditors committee did not say it supports US's plan. It didn't even mention US's plan. It claimed to be open to alternatives.
Hell, it could have been a message to other competing carriers that the committee will entertain bids from other airlines.
That, is exactly what I posted, and that is exactly what was said. You are the one inferring that the creditors committee was referring to US when it made the second half of their statement. If there is any speculation here, it is on your part.

Spin it how you want to spin it...that is what they said!OK the creditors committee made a statement to make a statement that they supported DL's decision to file a stand alone plan. Good grief.
I suppose we should now specify that the committee did not make a statement supporting US's decision to propose a merge(plan).
