Delta retiring it's 777's

On a sad note Kev., I just read an article after the article you posted that Delta will be over staffed by 7,000 pilots in the fall. I assume maybe some mechanics too, with the less aircraft fleet to maintain.
Hand in there Kev. hope it doesn't hit ya all too hard. All airline employees are in my prayers for a safe landing when we all come out of this in the end...

Thanks man! Hard to believe that 90 days ago, we were celebrating a record-breaking profit sharing day.

Half are 20 year old -200ER's and the other half 10 year old 200LR's. The LR is a bit of an orphan, and apparently not a very good candidate for freighter conversion because they took weight out of the airplane to give it extra range.

More shockingly, the crew base at CVG is being closed.

Seriously, the hub has been gone for years, so why was there still a crew base?...

Yes, indeed. Very hard to believe.
BTW; My company is announcing their EO packages on June 1st. They said it was coming and announced today that it will be announced 6-1-20. I hope and pray some folks can take it. God knows I can't, a bit too early for me. Just hoping not to get too disrupted at the final outcome is all.

Prayers it wont be as severe as say what UA is predicting.

I took a cursory glance at the system seniority list; the cascade will be something else!

Kev, " IF " you've got the seniority that I "THINK" you have, and you're still in that small station that I "THINK" you're in, And " IF " they keep it open, then that may work-out for you, in that, with a skelaton crew, all it takes is one guy to bang-out sick, then. Instant OT. I saw that happen BIG Time in BOS in the early 80's, with BOS cut to 11 flights a day. the survivors made a killin' off of OT !

Kev, You KNOW I've got your Back !! Red Tails Forever !!!!!

Very glad to see Delta doing the 60% LF's going forward. Below is the article.
SW is seeing LF's picking up rather nicely going forward. Better in May than April, and even bookings looking better in June than May. This is good news for the airlines and employees. I still see them being smaller in the future, but maybe, just maybe this might hold off some employees getting laid off at SWA if the bookings keep increasing thru the summer and into the Oct month. If we can get the LF's back to 2/3rds or even 75% I don't see a need to layoff as long as enough folks take a bite out of the early out packages being announced come June 1st.
