Perhaps Delta wants to test the waters for a competitive run at Virgin Atlantic. Isn't LGW Virgin's home base?

Ah, My home turf, BOS. Massport is expanding Logan Intl. Airport's Terminal E International terminal, like crazy. There tearing down Hangers like crazy, to make room for the expansion.

Delta already holds a 49% ownership stake in Virgin Atlantic.

No need to make a run at something you own and almost control.

Thanks. I didn't realize that Delta held that much of a stake in Virgin Atlantic, There have been so many mergers and buyouts over the past few years.
