Baja ,, you should keep your chin up,, or down, as a matter of fact your job is in strict jeopardy if UAL gets ahold of you... along with your pay and pension... CAL is now the highest paid airline.... Trust it wont last due to the fact CAL doesnt have enough clout to keep those kind of wages up -- My uncle is retired from CAL and we talk about how they have come full circle from the 80s... However if you step back and take a look into the future abit AA and CAL are wading in shallow water with 4 majors going through bk and lccs threatning their prescence... It wasnt such a smart move but keep telling yourself it was. AA is dangling the pilots pensions over their heads. CAL is barely posting profits and if it wasnt for a major sale of COPA shares CAL would have barely posted a profit last quarter.. But good luck - my guess is you made the wrong choice - welcome to newark/new york AREA.....

If CO and UA decide to get together, it will most likely be CO doing the buying so they can keep NW out of it. That would be a strong company, definately greater than the sum of its parts.

ummm no you get your facts straight ... SWA airlines is paid per trip - not per flight hour.. get YOUR facts straight.. ups and fedex arent really part of the commercial airline business ... dont get stuck going down the chimney....

You might be right about fedex/ups, but in maint. you are wrong....... Southwest maint. = highest pay in the industry
