The cost is immaterial when it comes to the sovereignty and safety of the nation. Who cares if it cost ten, twenty or fifty billion. We have spent seventeen trillion in Iraq. Just gave them a hundred and fifty billion for the hell of it. It is estimated that one third of American children that get trapped into sex trafficking are smuggled across the southern border. What dollar value do you put on their lives?

Reagan proved that deficits don't matter. Except when a black Democrat is president. Then they matter greatly. Once he's out, it's okay to add another trillion to the debt and propose a budget with a record $700 billion deficit, which included no funding for a wall.

How nice of you to be concerned about sex trafficking. It didn't seem to bother you much before. What about the 2/3 of children brought in for sex trafficking who come in via Canada or airports?

Or are illegals becoming brazen enough that the not only seek out polling places on election day, but file income tax forms to get a refund of the taxes they paid in?

That is a good and fair question.

My answer is this.

I have already made a post that calculated the average illegal immigrants income and tax rate (see below).

The ANNUAL taxes paid out (on average) don't even cover the cost to put ONE child through school for a year.

11,640,000,000 / 11,000,000 = 1058.181818181818

1058.181818181818 8% TAXES
13227.27272727273 100% INCOME

Income of 13,227.27

Tell me again how illegals are not driving down wages?

Tell me again how they CONTRIBUTE to our economy?

Again $1058.18 does not even cover the cost of educating their anchor babies.

Wrong again KCfryer, I thought a wall was needed way back when Escobar was moving fringe by the ton and running rabid on his killing sprees. Securing the southern border is not a new idea by any means. Many politicians have stated the same but had no intentions of doing because they didn’t want to disrupt the flow of payoff money. Now we have a president that isn’t bought but unfortunately there is still a swamp to be waded through and idiots like yourself. I called this classless. I will say that there is one poster whom I disagree with quite a bit who clicked "agree" on my comment. If that post was expected to be humorous, it failed. And the "agree" comment on my 'classless' post that came from an "adversary" gave me a newfound respect for them. They aren't all alike.

And score another one to the Democrats. Sinema has won in AZ which is great news!. The gop will almost certainly win in MS, but even if the Democrats lose in FL, I think that will make the Senate 53R to 47D&I which is only one less seat than we Democrats had a year ago.

This election should have been a lot better for the gop in the Senate and we took the House by a good margin. The election in 2020 will be close to opposite of 2018 with the gop defending more Senate seats. trump has already lost most moderates. I realize his base will drive right off the cliff with him, but independents are leaving him and even if trump somehow manages to win in 2020, I am almost certain the House and Senate will be in control of Democrats. I do not see trump winning though. I do not think the economy can stay as good as it is. It just usually does not last that long. Obama started the recovery and it has gotten better under trump. That really only leaves one direction for it to go which is in the other direction. If that happens, I do not see how trump can win, unless Democrats do something dumb like nominate Hillary again. Too many people dislike her. And I do not think it should be Beto either. I like Beto but Democrats needs someone who has not had legal trouble, even a DUI.
