hi there,

I fly regularly and enjoy having map / speed information while flying. I'd also love to have turbulence information too...

just wondering if other people out there are interested in seeing a turbulence reading of current flight conditions if it were available.

thoughts?

is it possible?

thanks

Im pretty sure the airlines do not want passengers looking at radar. Most would probably not know what they are looking at anyway.

Personally, I would like to see from my seat a forward camera image, i.e. the pilots p.o.v. What do you mean by turbulence reading or information? Radar imagery? I also appreciate any airline that gives you an audio channel to hear the ATC.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the flight. Change the things you can change, and accept those you can't. Do you want a plane full of people second guessing pilots, thinking they know what's best. Imagine the mayhem.

IMHO,
Too many variables for a passenger 'Turbulence Alert System' (Today). Even forward looking color weather radar can not detect Clear Air Turbulence.
When the seat belt sign comes on, keep your butt in the seat.
Keep your seat belt on at "ALL" times.

You have that already. They know how best to run any airline, how to price, schedule, repair, etc...

They are called frequent flyers. 😛

Is there a system to detect flatulence in flight? And could this be viewed much the same as a shoe bomb? Just think of the technology available to exploit this.

Fart Detector

There’s nothing worse than taking a breath of fresh air, and finding that it isn’t actually so fresh. You look around the room to find the person with that guilty look on their face, hoping to find the one who, yep, farted.

The Fart Detector won’t tell you who farted, but it will give you a warning so that you can hold your breath or leave the room.

It actually works. The Fart Detector will give off a “Warning! Fart detected!” Whooop! Whooop! when methane gas is detected in the air.
