Do pilots have any decision when flying?

Thoughts, airlines will be canceled for a day or two into Florida areas. after that, they will open all flights. A pilot flying over/ into/ or around a hurricane, do they have any say if they want the flight or not? I would imagine the carriers have an obligation to get people into and out of storm-ravaged areas so they WILL fly. Not sure I would want to fly into a heavy storm.
