DOJ approves DL/NW

Welcome to your NEW Northwest Bosses!

"They love to enslave and outsource and it shows!"

I can't tell you how happy I am that I don't live in your shoes!
I couldn't stand myself if I were as miserable and "Beaten Down" as you seem to be !

If I were you though, I would definetly, if your new company, DAL, offers it, take the early out and end your misery !

No. no. no, NxNW! Do like Rob said, "The Machinists Union will fight to ensure that workers at the combined airline will be protected by the guarantees that can only be found in a union contract.

The days when Delta could ride roughshod over their employees is coming to an end. Delta is creating the world’s largest airline. The Machinists Union will help Northwest and Delta employees make it the world’s largest unionized airline."

In your dreams...NW folks will be waiving to you on your LAST day at the New Delta (under NW bosses) as you collect your last NON UNION bottom of the industry paycheck.

Your pathetic NXNW......................in all actuallity, you will be recieving a RAISE to "NON-UNION" wages very soon !

Naw, the same kind of protection that the IAM negotiated when NWA wanted to gut the oji and sicktime that you had gutted at DL that left you with a measily 7 days ppt time while NW employees continue to recieve sicktime, oji, etc. But your sacrifices did make millionaires out of Leo Mullin, Michele Burns, Fred Reid, and Ed Bastian so I guess you have something to be proud of!

I don't understand your hostility. It would be hard if DAL was taken over. If you put your guard down, you may find that DAL is not that bad. Nobody will get stapled to the bottom. I went through the Western merger and came out well, as far as seniority. Give it a chance. This can be a kick a-- airline if we leave the crap behind. Think about it.

Hey look! Four responses in, and already a "if-you-don't-like-it-quit" comment. Awesome! 🙄

Please explain how losing sick/oji accruals, 2 weeks of vacation annually, and large increase in medical premiums will constitute a "raise."

Extra credit: My job classification doesn't exist at DL, so I'll be losing a $1.25/hr. override. Explain how that's a "raise."

Make sure to show your work.

Thanks.

Vike-

You are mistaken. I have NO hostility towards "Delta" people or "New Delta" people. My hostility is towards the people who took over your company...and now WE/ Northwest people have to deal with the same disgusting psychopaths that lied and lied and lied some more for personal cash all the while setting people who built NW into the street. Now if you think they are going to give defenseless NON UNION people at Delta a better chance than people with a defense....big mistake.

I will enjoy working with most (gotta take the bitter with the sweet) of the highly professional, Unionized, fun old Delta folks as we create a great airline spanning the world like no other! It's a great idea, poorly planned (just as these people have ALWAYS done at NW when it comes to employee relations. Because it is ALWAYS about THEM and their pay/bonuses FIRST and FOREMOST. vs. employees)

With all do respect, Western is not Northwest by a long shot. Northwest was in a position to BUY Delta...with financing based on balance sheet and enterprise, it is debatable if Delta was in the same position. That safe financial position was on behalf of cash DIRECTLY from the pockets of Northwest Employees.

You are right Vike...this is going to be a Galactic kicka$$ airline....ONCE our Unions have settled in (guaranteeing Industry leading pay/benefits (largest airline in the world, commersurate to New Delta pilot pay, and new "ALL" New Delta employee pay contracts)

.....
Southwind
As for the NON UNION raise comment...clearly math wasn't your best subject, nor was grammar (it's "You're" NOT "Your" for the umteenth time.)

My old bosses are gonna love people like you....at least for the time that you will be here.
