From what I understand, Amfa dues will go down when we hit I think around 4000 members. So come on AA and help get my dues lowered!! With the members we have now and AA we will hit that #.

I could not find it in the constitution. I know it was in there at one time, because I was one of the delegates that help put the wording in. I will have to see if it changed in the last update.

I'm not aware of this, but I will try to find out. Me personally, I have never heard this in the 10 yrs or so with AMFA. As a guess I would have to say it is NOT true.

I believe the OP is talking about the percentage of dues that goes to the locals increases with more members.

I guess the original language never got put in that I was thinking about. Instead article IV section 1- Active Members was put in. My mistake.

I do believe he's getting mixed up on what Jack and Floyd stated at a couple of AMFA informational meetings. Jack said ( this is not verbatem ) that if AA M&R voted in AMFA then AA would have the majority and that would bring salaries down at his level because of our low pay.This is from a few months past when he spoke at the informational meetings for Tulsa and AFW. I hope this makes a little better sense. If I'm way off base my apologies for adding my 2 cents.

Which brings me to another question, could we get 2 locals for the Dallas folks? I'm getting alot of questions about AA taking over the loc 11. Is there anyway we could have 2 locals, one for AA guys and one for SWA guys? We all know you guys will take over the National. I think running 2 different locals would be better. There is no way the AA guys would come to Love Field area for a local meeting. And, there's no way the SWA guys would travel over to DFW area for local meetings. Maybe Local 11 West for AA'ers. And, Local 11 East for the SWA guys. Just a thought, what do you think?

That all sounds very reasonable to me. Probably would be a decision for the National. You are definetly correct about the members not attending each others meetings. Hopefully the officers from each local would. The education process and the shared value of ideas from both sides is a must. Especially from our side learning from yours. You learn from ours on what not to do.
