Early out for M & R Sept. 4-Sept 25

in ord someone said like 30 guys are 60 or older. I know of 5guys that signed up yesterday to take the #### package. Plus we have lost a couple of guys to united, with more applying there. We have one guy going to swa next week!

If they ahve something lined up on the outside why not take it?

I spoke with a labor law attorney here in Tarrant County Texas today. For what its worth, she said American Airlines cannot prevent the state from giving you unemployment compensation even if you take the early out, she also said that we would probably get it..

Of course AA cannot prevent the state from awarding unemployment comp, but AA is certainly within its rights to fight it and to warn you ahead of time that it will fight unemployment claims from someone who took an early out incentive.

The ramp guys have indicated that their prefunding will be paid out on Sept 21... Have not verified this yet..

I'm a ramp guy at DFW and have heard no such thing. They will drag it out until the 119th day!

If they are hiring on at Untied, they are hiring on S-CAL as S-UAL still have mucho people on the recall list.
Yes I know, S-CAL and S-UAL are both reamsters and should look out for their membership.

Did the TWU solidify the package in writing or is it still fluid?
If it's not defined in writing with AA letterhead and signatures, then I would not recommend taking the package.
That unknown will grab you in the a$$ if you are not careful.

I wouldn't bet my livelihood on 'probably'.
If AA decides to fight it, you will loose!

I know some people chomping at the bit to submit their requests early..But I wonder if these numbers are going to substantially increase throughout the timframe outlined.
