Can't say that about the South China Sea or Indian Ocean.

cause why in the world would we want to detect nuclear missile launches from pakistan or india or submarine launches from either body of water... . i dont know why we wouldnt have DSP Satellites in geosynchronous orbit... oh wait.. we do.

Neither India or Pakistan have ICBM's capable of striking the USA.  Any SLBM launched against the United States probably is not going to come from the Indian Ocean of South China Sea as the range is too great.

there are also cia operating in ukraine... and of course they have never done anything shady to start a deeper conflict... never would they shoot a plane out of the sky... and blame some one else that doesnt sound like anything the cia would do they are all eagle scouts

What's more likely?

Russian separatists were either supplied a SAM system by Russia or acquired one on their own.  Were trained in the basics of using one or had some people with prior experience.  Acquired a target without really knowing what it was and ended up shooting down an airliner.

Or the CIA shot down MH17.

there are plenty of possibilities the inclusion of any of them does not exclude all of them...

oh so we wouldnt want to track them any way? because we dont have treaties with Australia and wouldnt want to feed info their way?  or any of the other nations in which are in the range of the missiles that those two countries have...

same for a submarine launched missile?  that wouldnt concern us so why watch?

so you think maybe pakistan would think about launching an attack on india we wouldnt want to see that?  or india launching one at pakistan and then denying it saying it must have been malfunction we wouldnt want to have evidence of that?

we do have DSP-I sats geosynchronous orbits over several areas of the world not just the countries that have the capability because after they develop it is too late

There's no evidence that the CIA is operating in Eastern Ukraine.[/url]
It's great to know that the CIA will now let us know exactly what it's up to! Where do the voices in your head say they're at?

"A Houston man has been arrested after Google sent a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children saying the man had explicit images of a child in his email, according to Houston police.

The man was a registered sex offender, convicted of sexually assaulting a child in 1994, reports Tim Wetzel at KHOU Channel 11 News in Houston.

"He was keeping it inside of his email. I can't see that information, I can't see that photo, but Google can," Detective David Nettles of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce told Channel 11.

After Google reportedly tipped off the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the center alerted police, who used the information to get a warrant.

A search of the man's other devices revealed more suspicious images and text messages. Police arrested him and he's being held on a $200,000 bond.

On one hand, most people would certainly applaud the use of technology to scan email in a case like this.

On the other, debate rages about how much privacy users can expect when using Google's services like email. In a word: none."

Who needs to worry about the NSA when you have Google and Yahoo doing the snooping. I am by no means defending a child pornographer.

google yahoo nsa its all the same thing...

nsa couldnt technically give the tip so they had google do it as a private citizen...  ???  which is a possiblity

but lets say on the chance it was just google snooping

what i wonder is how did google know first of all that he was a registered sex offender. and how did they know that kid wasnt his son?

pictures of kids taking a bath in a sink used to be considered cute, but now if a friend of yours sends a pic of your god children or step nephews or whatever does google now flag it for review? and call the cops?

last time it was a sex offender, next time its just a guy seeing pics of his nephew?

i think these types of stories are put out there to make us feel good for this type of snooping, if the detectives got a warrant and google complied thats one thing, if its just a "good Samaritan" thats a totally different thing and child molester or not, rights are rights...

Edward Snowden is an American Patriot and should be awarded the highest civilian medal for his selfless Patriotism.

Frankly, IMO if you disagree with the above you aren't part of the solution, you're the problem

And he is now in a country that squashes all you espouse and root for at every turn.

Him wanting to stay in Russia is like a Greenpeace member actively volunteering to work on a whaling ship.

it hasnt been THE ukraine since the fall of the soviet union 23 years ago..

As far as i know we dont have any awacs in place in ukraine, unless there is some in the black sea.  which could be part of the answer, but i would figure when the pentagon says we dont know who fired the missile makes you think they would have said we watched it on awacs...

now of course the USA is saying that Russia is firing artillery its like they are throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks

until MH17 this was considered a regional dispute...And technically it still is, if it ends up that the Rebels did fire on that it and it was a mistake, while still a horrible act, its not really able to be compared to 911 or even terrorism... terrorism would be if they specifically targeted the aircraft knowing full well it was a civilian aircraft...  im not trying to diminish the horrors of what happened to those innocent people.  but at the same time to call the rebels who are fighting a civil war, saying they targetted the aircraft, or that the russians did, doesnt make much sense...  why would they target a civilian aircraft? it does nothing for their cause, why would the russians for that matter?

remember Rahm Emanuel said it best... "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."
US recon plane crosses into Sweedish air space to avoid Russians.  This occured 1 day after MH 17 was shot down.  Pretty sure that was not the first day they were flying around up there.
