Here's a link to the FAA's EMAS Fact Sheet. This 1-page document provides information on the background of the EMAS system, where it is currently in use and where it is being installed.

Interestingly, the only 3 situations where the EMAS has been tested under actual overrun conditions are all at New York's JFK airport. The Fact Sheet doesn't say which runway the EMAS system is installed on but JFK's shortest runway is 8400'!

The EMAS on JFK's 04R is the one that's caught all 3: a Saab 340, a DC-10 (or MD-11, it was Fedex), and a 747 (freighter, can't recall who).

There's a picture of the captured Saab 340 on the EMAS outfit's website at: http://www.esco-usa.com/com/instal.html Might be some of the other 2 there as well.
