Envoy Seats

After reading the PR piece that Beachboy posted, all I could think; Boy this a group of 'hicks' that have hit the 'big time.'

It seams they brought in everybody to decide oh what seats to purchase. While it is a big $ purchase it is small potatoes for a company the size of US. It seems like it was the first time they have ever chosen seats for an aircraft.

I may be wrong, but I don;t remember other airlines posting who chose the seats and how much they cost. It like they are trying to impress someone about money being spent, even though it is probably less than other airlines spend on new TA seats and aircraft improvements.

It is just more than nothing. The amount AW spent in the past.

This statement is so on the money. I have walked around there and thats EXACTLY the impression I get. Horror for everywhere else but the delusions of grandeur there. They took NO TIME to ask those familiar with the aircraft or service at all. It was basically, "this is how it is". Imagine how much other airlines in the US pay to refurbish their interiors. Honestly it's stuff like this that makes them look so stupid.

It is what happens whenever an entity has money (from employee concessions) burning a hole in their pockets.

Think you guys gave too much? Heck, you have no idea how much you really gave........ and Tempe doesn't dare tell. Ask them sometime about the $425 million they had that they "invested" in a REO. The operative word is, "had". As in "been had".
